My Counselling Room
I built my own counselling room in our secluded
garden which is managed to encourage wildlife.

The single room building is constructed using
traditional timber framing and follows
ecologically sound principles: using locally
sourced timber where possible, thick insulation
to conserve heat, and wooden roof shingles
which use less energy to produce than ceramic
or concrete tiles. Rain is collected to water the
garden.
The room looks out onto the garden with
its bird feeders, trees, flowers, ponds
and water features.

The room is finished in calming greys,
blues and lilacs and is comfortably
furnished - a sanctuary from the stress of
everyday life.
